If you can get a clear shot at some gas through clear gas take it to a chem
dept at a University (or even a high school) and look at it through a light
analyzing spectrometer - (the old simple style with a slit which actually
you can make on your own with a little care.)

I'm beginning to wonder what pressure you are using and how much is a "drop".
Is the red color on the installation neon red or is it purple. Convince the
client to relocate their building to Florida? I give up.
