yes. but it depends on what size glass you are useing, and how gassy of a flame.
personaly I prefer the heads further apart and a gassyer flame. Makes for
more loopy bends
when working in 10-12mm.

well, ayes, they should all converge. Chances are that you have the heads
closer than they need to be. I seem to find that is usually the problem if I
cannot adjust the flame properly.
It takes a lot of guess and check...and has a lot to do with your personal
preference.
