I started the neon list last summer. It kind of began when I noticed some
posts to usenet from kenny, Jacob, Tom Biebel, and Ted Persig, and it kind
of grew from there to what it is today. At that time I never dreamed it
would be this big, involing neon folks from the middle east to germany to
argentina.

The list program is Majordomo, running off my service providers unix
machine. It is NOT moderated. When you post, it goes straight to the
list, unless it bounces (because of delivery glitches).

Last I knew, Bruce was still on the list. No one gets automatically
"bumbed" from the server. If an address has persistant delivery problems
for several weeks or so, then I usually try to notify the subscriber, and
work it out. In a couple of cases, I've unsubscribed addresses that no
longer corresponded to users.

There's a short blurb in the Feb. Signs of the Times about the list that I
wrote... goes into a bit more detail of the beginning.

I want to remind subscribers (again) that I may be switching to a new
server. This will mean a new list address, but there will be advance
notice (and probably some overlap).
