Uh, let's not use that word 'drop'.

Have you all seen the MailBox etc ad where they ship a neon sign?
I know of at least one shop that's taken them up on it.

Strange to say, I've had success sending neon by US Mail Overnight Express.
One time I was sending out to I think the Chicago 'Miss Saigon'. It was of
course marked 'Neon Glass - Fragile' on every side. The postal clerk said
"Hmm, neon, I bet that stuff is real fragile, huh?" I nodded in agreement.
He then banged his rubber stamp all over the package and tossed it about 8
feet into the waiting cart of packages. My mouth dropped. He just shrugged
and said "That's what's gonna happen to it anyway." Miraculously it arrived
in one piece. Footnote: The stage crew broke it trying to install it.
