As long as we are talking about build your own xformers....
The UCSD Craft Center is having a single electrode workshop on May 18th.
It will be taught by Chuck Sweet with an emphasis on "wind-your-own"
high frequency xformers.
Chuck makes great single ended sculptures. It will be interesting to 
see his xformer designs. Some of his peices have about 8 4 foot tubes
all driven brightly from a single transformer. He is local to SanDiego.
Cost is only $25 bucks, so if you can get to SD let me know and I will
get you details on how to sign up.
