Hey Mark....as for supply houses there are three main ones in Vancouver,Bc.Acme,East West Plastic,and Em plastic.They all carry mostly EGL products....some eurocom,technolux and masonlite.Im pretty sure these companies dont do any comparison in the field between neon and LED.They stop in at my shop from time to time and drop off pens,calenders,notepads and not much more.Im sure they do the same at every other shop,big or small.Ive been to a couple of open houses/bbq's at the supplyers,and there are always LED reps with demo's and NEVER any neon industry reps.These supply houses are in the business of making money and will push whatever is selling the best.
As for EGL as an industry leader,I basically meant "most widely used" products....at least in my area.Who does the r & d and puts out new products first,and are innovators - Im pretty outta the loop so I dont know.
I should get back to work....I actually have a few tubes to do....I hope I remember how to turn my fires on....
