One of the problems around here is that LED reps are constantly making their sales calls to diffrent [especially large] signshops,and selling them on how great the product is.They are doing their job.NEON COMPANIES ARE NOT....EGL,Voltarc,Allanson,TFT,etc are NOT making the rounds to these same signshops and showing them proper comparisons,showing them the newest and best products....glass and high-efficiancy transformers.It is like they have given up.....around here anyways.When I first started in the business 15 years ago,there was some sort of representative from the mentioned companies stopping in every few months...to make sure there was no problems,show us new products,or just to chat about the industry.The last time this happened was about 9-10 years ago.I was at a sign component show a few years back in Vancouver and they were all there....saying that their fighting for the industry and such...showing off great new products.I told them they need to be on the road and pushing this stuff in the shops and not in a convention hall!!!
