Let's set the record straight, shall we? I told you up front that it would not be cheap to ship one to Australia. But I did give you the shipping charges to ship one to you as requested. You apparently did not like the shipping charges, which I have absolutely no control over. That is just one of several instances. You continued to request shipping charges on other items knowing full well that it would be expensive. Did you think shipping rates would go down and not up along with the rest of inflation?

See my above comments. I never refused to ship to you. It was your call to not buy the item, not mine. I gave you what you asked for, but it was not acceptable to you. Do not blame me for your unwillingness to pay for the shipping charges to send an item to you.
I get requests through eBay all the time to ship stuff off-shore. It usually takes 2 or 3 messages back and forth through eBay (they never want to make direct contact for some reason) before I can even get a complete shipping address. Initially your situation was very similar. All I usually get is "What will it cost to ship this item to 123-XYZ zip code". Most of the time they don't even tell me the country it is going to. I am expected to figure that out by myself. And when they hear what the shipping charges will be they are no longer interested. (Do people in other countries really expect to get free shipping from the U.S.? That is the impression I get.) So I stopped wasting my time with these requests because they never produced positive results. Your situation is a case in point. Once you knew what the shipping was going to cost, you were not interested, yet you continued requesting shipping on other items. Why? (Btw, the eBay calculated shipping will always be higher than dealing direct. So if you would have bought a pump through eBay it would have cost you even more, not less.)

Then you know more than I do. I was not aware of any old time colleague of mine being in Australia.
