I have followed this thread too and apparently have a completely different perception of it than some do. But that is not relevant.

Let's recap (and this is in no way saying one person is right and another wrong and it has nothing to do with where someone was born, what color they are, what their religious beliefs may be or their political persuasions are. It's just an observation of what was posted from my vantage point).

Juan posts offering his wares and the fact that he has a Eurocom manifold. He makes mention of an implied low price and good quality. The pumping system is really a moot point because if Juan had an EGL manifold he would have mentioned that, or a Daco or Transco for that matter (notice I didn't mention mine ;-)). Mentioning Eurocom simply opened the door for GB's comments.

GB's comments had little to do with the manifold itself, but rather GB's displeasure supporting the company behind the manifold based on that company's business practices. For all we know Juan may have purchased the manifold used and did not give Eurocom a penny. But who knows unless we have more info? GB pointed out their reasons for their unwillingness to support Eurocom or anyone who is even remotely associated with Eurocom. That is GB's choice and prerogative - at least in the U.S. the last I checked. GB did not utter any insults or personal derogatory comments. GB simply stated their opinion.

For some unknown reason, Juan seemed to be offended by GB's freedom of choice and expression. Almost as if it was not okay for GB to have those rights. It was, in fact, Juan who made the first personal derogatory comment, not GB, when Juan said, "But probably you wear Nike shoes, and you don't know how they treat their employees in Vietnam,". I'm not sure what that had to do with anything, but Juan continued with more insults and sarcasms, which had little or nothing to do with GB's post, or for that matter Juan's first post. Juan's irritated, unprofessional reply to GB's post simply opened the door for ridicule.

Although I disagree with neontek's assessment of Eurocom and their products and what they may or may not have done for the neon industry, neontek is also entitled to their opinion. And I will give them due credit for pointing out one of the down sides of doing business with today's Eurocom. As for the rest of neontek's reply, it appears that they too were only making an observation based on what Juan posted.

And what was Juan's response? More insults, sarcasm and derogatory personal remarks toward neontek. Not very professional IMO. Disagreeing with someone and having a basis for that disagreement is one thing. But throwing out childish remarks does little to support a persons argument.

Then we get to Gavin's post and how he was "dismayed" at how Juan was treated and the "assault" on him. So I hope you will understand when I say that I am confused to say the least. How was Juan treated??? From where I sit, from what was said, who said it and when it was said, Juan threw the first stone. GB simply stated their position with Eurocom and anyone who does business with them. Had Juan not mentioned Eurocom in his promo there probably wouldn't be this thread as no one would have said a word about Juan offering his services.

So forgive me if I don't jump on the "poor Juan" bandwagon, because I don't see it that way. The way I look at it is, if you start something you had better be prepared to finish it! JMO

As for Eurocom, I have always wondered why people are so willing to do business with them and pay exorbitant prices for their products, which IMO, are no better than some others. Electrodes are of particular interest. They are some of the highest priced on the market (perhaps THE highest), yet cost no more than Chinese made - maybe less! They are no better than some others (and not as good as some) and have no middle-man distributor mark up. So why do they cost so much? Eurocom is literally price gouging their customers on every box they sell. And their customers run back for more and let them do it. Amazing...
