spark tester

to start off, im not very good at electronics.

my spark tester quit sparking..... still makes the noise near the bottom of the unit, but no spark out the top.. I opened er up and I do still get the spark and usual buzz sound going at the bottom where the adjustment knob makes contact... looks like there are two coils in this thing... i'm thinking the bottom coil is still good and the top coil which is encased in plastic went bad, or isn't getting the juice to it.... the two wires passing from the bottom coil to the top coil look to be good and connected.. hummmm any one fix one before, or is it possible to replace the top coil?
