(7) Pictures 7-13 show the process for cleaning a repair (any shape, lettering, etc.). First the tube is washed out with a chemical similar to what is used for cleaning aluminum (we were unable to come up with a common name for it). [ View Picture ]
(8) A small piece of cotton is placed inside the tube filled with water. [ View Picture ]
(9) The rubber hose with running water is attached to the unit and the cotton is forced through it. [View Picture ]
(10)The unit is then cleaned with a diluted acetone. [ View Picture ]
(11) The tube is given a final wash with pure acetone. [ View Picture ]
(12) Gerard's custom made drying machine is an old vacuum cleaner used in reverse with a cone fitted to the hose. [ View Picture ]
