Update/hot glass info

Many thanks to all who responded to my questions about lead reduction and a
rapidly growing pile of black glass. Every answer was right! My pile of
junk glass is still growing, but it *is* pretty much clear now.

As most suggestions said, the air/gas mixture was too rich. More air,
everyone said...it just took me a while to figure out why I needed more air
when it seemed like I had enough to blow out all the fires as well as the
candles on a neighbor's birthday cake. *More* air, not *faster* air. LIke
the books say, high volume, low pressure. Since the standard hardware is all
based on 1/4" pipe fittings and it was clear that I had plenty of pressure, I
had to look for something that was restricting flow (hence raising pressure).
Took out the 1/4" needle valve in the air line on the cannon fire assembly,
and presto, that slightly violet tint to the flame.

The hints on looking at the mixer were good too, and that's where I'm headed
next because it's still a little restrictive and I could use still more air.
The bottom line really seems to be the difference in propane and natural gas.
I actually saw the equipment I have lit up before I bought it, along with a
comment from the seller along the lines of "...these are the propane heads,
but look, they work pretty well on natural gas too." Indeed they did, but
obviously there may be more to fuel choice than screwing on the "A" model
heads and lighting up.

And now back to the process of learning how to get out of the way so the
nice, clear hot glass can find its proper shape....
