We have been sucessfully using Templaq for many years.
Paper will go off at a fairly consistent temp but it will depend
on the humidity how long it takes to get there. Also how good
the contact with the piece is makes a diff for both a guage and
paper.
Just my opinion. Anyone have beefs against Templaq ?
Oh yeah, for those who have not heard of it, Templaq is a "paint"
that you put on your tube. A small dab near the center. It dries
in a minute or two. The dab "melts" when the glass get to a specific
temperature. It is available in several temps.
