Jim,

Sorry, it has taken me so long to respond to your request for information about "Neon Wizard". I have had the software for about six weeks, thou I haven't used it that often. so far I've only used it for about five jobs.

The program is not yet really "tight". In fact I have received a "bug-fix" update disk already. Though not perfect. . . it does work. . . and is a major time saver. Prior to The Wizard, I could spend 6-7 hours producing a bending pattern. Thou I don't by any means have the program down yet, I can get a very nice pattern on paper (reversed) in 1 to 1.5 hours. I think that time will drop to about 35-40 minutes when I get more familiar with the program.
It seems to be strongest in creating double line patterns, especially double line channel letter designs. I haven't tested it on a graphic yet, but expect it will perform just fine. My only complaint at present is that it only offers a couple of single stroke fonts. . . thou they say they will have an upgrade available in January that among other things will contain "many"(?) single line fonts. I talked with T.J. Lingenfelter, Aries Director of Quality Assurance at the ESSC show in Atlantic City and found him to be very patient and responsive. Both of their currant single stroke fonts have a perfectly symetrical letter "O", and I wanted an oval "O". He told me to call or write him and let me know which font I used most often and he would create an oval "o" for me and send me the disk.
I am offering to produce Neon patterns for tube benders via my home page on the internet, and plan to use The Wizard to accomplish that. I think I should be able to produce most patterns in an hour with the program, and will charge about $35.00 per hour for the pattern. Initially, I will charge based upon how long I think it SHOULD take me to produce it once I am strong with the program. I'll chalk-up the loss on early orders to my learning curve.
Hope this helps you out. Bottom line is it seems to perform as promised, with an occasional lock-up. Oh, I did shop every place I could find to try to get a best price, and ended up paying $900.00 to Data Tech. They were one of the companies that Aries sent to me as an "authorized" distributors. I don't have their number handy. . . let me know if you want it and I will dig it up.

Good Luck
