Re: mercury injectors

Best thing is to be ultra-careful not to spill it in the first place, If it
settles into the pores of your concrete or tile floor, it will stay forever,
and the stuff emits vapor at room temperture. Mercury is nasty stuff and you
should not mess around with it. Pick up and dispose of all droplets no matter
how small as soon as they spill, stop whatever you are doing to do it. If it
heats up on your table when you bend by placing hot glass on it you will
breathe it and this will get into your brain and blood system and never come
out. 19th century hatters used to use mercury compounds for blocking hats and
would eventually go mad from the vapors, leading to the phrase "mad as a
hatter" Use safety practices and you will have a safe shop, and one you
don't have to feel guilty about your friends and employees working in.
