Morgan, my point is that it may be _cheaper_ to set up a metal diff pump,
since there's lots on the used market thanks to their prevalence in
semiconductor and other industries (and there's nothing to break or wear
out, other than the heating coil). The one I use was $100; I have a spare
that was a gift; I see 'em in the Duniway catalog for $200-$300. And, as I
said, I run mine straight-through (no separate backing pump) without a
problem, using silicone oil.
