Not a lot of experience w/ crackles, but the ones that I've made have given
a better "crackle" effect w/ a much higher neon pressure. I've
experimented w/ pressures up to 20 or 30. It gives an impressive effect as
I'd read this in an old SOT article. I'd be curious on feedback about the
ill effects on the tube of putting such a high presure of neon in...?
