NEON- vacuum pumps(Johnstone Associates)
Has anybody had dealings with Johnstone Associates in Los Altos, CA? They
have a web page at www.johnstone.com/index.shtml and are selling rebuilt
vacuum pumps at a reasonable (I think) price. Like a Welch 1402 rebuilt for $550
(pump only), they want $430 to rebuild yours and it is almost a wash with
shipping charges from Wisconsin just to buy one of the rebuilt ones. Welch
out of Chicago wants a min. of $495 to rebuild one and $1790 for a new one.
