If you're looking at ways to use vertical space, I would consider not using a trolley-wire bombarding setup, so you can keep the space above your bombarding table open for other uses. Run two rows of glass or porcelain housings down the table every 18" or so, one row for each lead from the bombarder. Wire each row in parallel to itself. Make a pair of plug-in GTO jumpers, with an allegator clip on one end and a weighted piece of PVC conduit + copper contact on the other.
Storing heavy objects above this always runs the risk of damaging your manifold if things were to fall. But, your bombarding table is probably going to be sturdy enough to stand on anyway. If you're careful not to put anything where the bombarder can arc through it, you can still use the space underneath for storage.
I often wonder if my vacuum pump should exhaust outside.
My favorite way to store tubes on walls is with a long screw (3-4"), a wide fender washer, and a piece of acrylic hose. Cut the hose 1" shorter than the screw, sink it into the wall until it just starts to compress: The hose holds the fender washer at the head of the screw, so it's easy to hook a tube over it without worrying about breakage. Again, make tables strong enough to stand on and maybe build in a step for climbing up.
