HT wires

What is suitable wire to use for the HT wires coming from
the bombarder to the trolley lines? and back down again?

is there a proper orientation for the slide in the slide choke?
I think the slide may have been put in backwards.

also is there polarity in the choke and bombarder and
how can you tell it if it's not marked?

having problems setting up my electrical components.
