Really? I find that very hard to believe. That would be almost $417 per month per intersection in SAVINGS over what the traditional lights used. That is one hell of a savings! It sounds like the typical LED propaganda of “90% more efficient than anything else on Earth”.

With all due respect, you will have to provide some unequivocal proof of such savings before you will convince me, rather than merely repeating something that your local DPW may have erroneously reported to save their a$$ for switching to LED’s in the first place.

All anyone on this board has to do to put things into perspective is look at their own shop utility bills and how much equipment and lighting they have going to generate those electric charges (that 'low power consumption' bombarder for example). And when you do, keep in mind that a municipality gets a much better electric rate than anyone else, especially compared to small businesses who pay more than a residence.
