I didn't want to be the one to bring this up for various reasons and I didn't want a thread started by me to sound like an attack on a potential electrode competitor. But seeing as you asked for feedback...

From what I have heard so far pricing for the new Transco electrodes will be similar to what the Masonlite's were, which means it will probably be somewhat determined by your local distributor. However, IMO anything over $55.00 per 100 electrodes (for 13mm or 15mm) with free shipping will be too much for good quality electrodes.

Reliability of the Transco's may or may not be an issue. One shop I spoke to made several test units with the new Transco's. They were processed throughout the day along with their other work. All the units with the Transco electrodes went dead within 24 hours. There were no issues with any of the other units from that day that had other manufactures electrodes on them.

To be fair, another shop I spoke to has been using the Transco's for a couple weeks now and claim they have not had any problems to speak of. I did not go into details as to what they may or may not consider "problems". This shop also said that, with the exception of being lead free glass instead of leaded glass, the Transco's seemed to be identical to some samples of another electrode brand I gave them to try.
