Acrylic tubing? Have you got a link or anything? All I can find in acrylic is rigid...not ideal.

Everything is pretty clean. Exposed only to atmosphere. When the guy I bought it from took it all apart so I could transport it he plugged all the openings with lint-free cloth. So, not any dust to speak of...just air.

Is the oil hygroscopic? Like will it absorb moisture? (Like automotive brake fluid.) If so, then I'll probably have to replace it as it's certainly not new....but if not then I think it'll be ok.

This sorted itself out. I think it just needed to settle after transport. There are still little tiny droplets clinging to the glass up both sides of the u-gauge....is this detrimental to operation? Are they ok to just ignore? Is there a way to get them to migrate down to the rest of the fluid? (Gentle heat perhaps?

Something I noticed.....when I close the gauge stopcock....it registers in the fluid....the side under the stopcock with go down a little bit....it's so sensitive that it reads the volume change after the o-ring seals but the stopcock continues to tighten down.

There's only a couple bundles that aren't in boxes.....the stuff in the boxes...how far could dust really get into them? the bags aren't in the greatest shape but...I still can't see how anything would get way up the tubes...I'm a long way from actually getting in to the glass anyway. We'll see...

Thanks for the answers so far!!
