He said he has CL71 and Voltarc, I;m not on here to promote anything.
as far as the temp gauge. the gauge does read at the first point of contact of the bare wires. A IR gauge set at the proper glass setting is by far more accurate. any clamp will insulate the heat at 200C and start reading its own temperature. You can see this happen on green during bombing, the tube will be white and in the clamp it will be a touch of green left
