They contract restoration work out.
But I had the same thought as you.
I had a conversation with one of the employees while waiting in the Lobby for tour to begin.
I told him I was a Neon tubebender and
asked him if they had ever thought of having an onsite NEON plant to do their own resto work and also educate people as to how NEON is made. Most people are intrigued by the process. And like you, I'm sure there are a few seasoned tubebenders who would love to lend a hand restoring some signs or give demos.
He didn't seem to comprehend me, because his reply was... "you could call YESCO if you want to see a NEON plant, they might show you one".Lol
I thought to myself... "You idiot ! Did you hear anything I just said?" Like I need to see another Neon plant....geez.
So this was my prelude to the tour.
Laying a basis to my final conclusion that no one there "had a clue".
