I am not an electronics expert by any stretch, but as I see it, the 50 Hz. is the biggest problem. There are some who adamantly adhere to the belief that you cannot/should not run something that is designed for 60 Hz. on 50 Hz. regardless of the primary voltage because it will cause reliability issues. Others say you can do it without failure problems, but it will decrease the efficiency. Perhaps someone who has extensive knowledge of such things and the credentials to back it up can chime in with some advice (self proclaimed "experts" need not apply.) If it were not for the 50 Hz., I have a 60 Hz., 7.5 KVA bombarder with a slide choke that is 15kV secondary voltage with ~675 mA short circuit secondary current that will run on a 35 amp circuit. That is a small bombarder by most standards, but enough to do a single 15mm x 12 ft. unit without much effort.
