From "mixing gases"!!??, lol, sounds like an answer you'd get at Radio Shack when they try to sell you something, anything, that won't solve the problem.
The "absolutely no mercury migration" statement by several of the large mfrs. is BALONEY, especially after about 6 months. Also seems the life expectancy since around 2006 or so is limited. Now electromagnetic transformers, same situation, loading, applications, no dimming at all.
As for NeonPro, we switched to them about 2 yrs. ago and so far, excellent. But we still try to use electronic trans. on neon pumped tubes only.
As for those concerns selling bulk transformers along with their import crap neon.......miserable failure rate.
