Mercury migration

Having a few issues with mercury migration from some electronic 10KV transformers. We imported the transformers ourselves as the previous supplier has given up on anything neon and only supplies LED these days. I have contacted the factory and the reply back is that I have mixed neon with argon on the same circuit... I find this kind of odd as ive not had it before with these transformers and in 28 years ive never heard this before. Transformers are also displaying the same migration on a 10mm argon circuit.
Does mixing the gases cause migration??? The official reply is that the anti beading cct will cause the mercury to migrate.
Ive just pulled a Korean 10KV transformer out of circuit after running nearly 10 years.. circuit is very UNDER loaded and has 12mm argon and neon combined.. no jelly beaning and no migration evident.
