I do not use them.

My only experience with preloaded merc electrodes is in making replacement units on existing/failing tubes.
I live in a cold climate and tubes in channel letters in outdoor applications fail relatively soon with these electrodes.
There is never any visible trace of any liquid mercury left in these tubes. Most of the mercury probably amalgamates with the electrode shell. I would say there is not an adequate amount of mercury in the capsules for large outdoor units.

They may work fine for small interior units ?
