Here's some info. I had jotted down years ago when moving locations. You may want to double check numbers, as I do not recall where I obtained info.
I had figured heavy and specified 200,000 BTU for
Running: 1-24" Ribbon Fire(approx.187,500 btu?), 1-Crossfire(approx.2000 btu?), 2-Hand Torches(approx.1000 btu ea.?)Black Pipe Size:
up to 15' run = 1"
16-35' run = 1 1/2"
50 and up = 2" minimum*** I live in a cold climate and had furnaces on the same meter. This size pipe allowed adequate supply and compensated with enough volume to reduce fluctuations when furnaces kicked in/out. Of course, if you have a separate, specific meter dedicated for your NEON plant, it would not be a concern. (I initially used existing 1" black pipe with a 50' plus run and the crossfires would actually go out when 2 furnaces kicked in.)
In my current location, I switched to propane with a regulator in-line.
Natural Gas tips and burners will work with propane gas (after re-adjusting metering valves). (This may be much easier and cheaper than running 100' of 2" black pipe.)Good Luck,
