This link should help. If you can get your economizer working as it is intended, I dont see any need to automate the starting process. I would think there are others on thus board who would be better to describe how to set up your fires, as mine have all been set up for me by the folks who bent before me.

I am not familiar with the European style burners... I'd be curious to see them in action. All my fires I start the air/gas mix at the same time.
