As with any small enterprise, you may have to spend about 3/4 of your time marketing your business to keep your calendar full.

Post a classified ad in your local paper to run everyday that says you are available for neon repairs and beer sign renovations. This may be busy work but with this type of traffic one thing leads to another.

I run a photo of a sign with my ad and it pulls a lot of inquiries almmost daily, plus it gets people over to my web site photo gallery. (it costs about $60 per month to run this ad everyday in my area.)

I have considered actually suspending my ad until I can catch up.

Work is everywhere, you just have to fish for it. The best value in my experience of this type of advertising are the collateral opportunities you will get. Such as when someone decides they want you to quote a new custom sign.
