Ah, don't get discouraged. Before I bought an oven, I built one for nearly nothing. An old breadbox, filaments from a toaster oven, (both found in streetside trash), fiber frax, an old variac, and an inexpensive volt meter w/ pyrometer. You can Google for mailbox annealer to get started.

Intro induction heater and single-electrode transformers can be bought from Information Unlimited: http://www.amazing1.com

It's certainly enough to get you started and give you the taste. Maybe not to start w/ a bottle, but other projects.

If you want more details, email me.
