I like Ventex indoor trannies a lot. Especially that 12/30 model that allows you to custom fit the home runs. I wish every indoor SS let you do that. I have heard complaints from our servicemen about the Ventex outdoor models as being less than reliable. This can result from double nutting the mounting and not mounting flush to a surface. The bottom of the tranny is a heat sink, and the tranny will run better if it's mounted with that sink flush to a surface.Anyway they are incredibly more flexible when it comes to fitting in a smaller raceway or enclosure. I agree with John about Tech 22. I have used their models for many years. They are a great company for providing service as well when it comes to custom applications.
