tool question of sorts...

A few weeks back a video was posted that featured work being done at I believe Tecno-lux in NYC. First, I would like to say a belated but not forgotten, awesome, well done! I loved it! I love short attention span documentaries that are interesting and well shot.

Ok, question:

I took a screen cap of one of the scenes in this vid, I put it up on my blog.

What I want to know, what is that third hand tool called? I assume its scientific, but damn, it looks like it could come in handy. Anyone have any leads as to where someone like me could get one?

And on another, unrelated note, do the nice folks at Tecno-lux give tours? I'd love to see the shop when I'm in town, and more importantly, it would give me a great excuse to make a trip to nyc :).
