We've used hundreds of the transformers you mention since the 90's. They worked great with no merc mig. and I thought I found the right units, but about 5 yrs. ago problems began. The dimming starts about a year after installation, particularly with turqs & purples, and of course with colder weather. This was about the same time they went from the USA label to the China label, though they were always made in China, and look like the same CPI units. Its absolutely the transformer, any electromagnetic units there are NEVER any problems. So we try to use these on just neon pumped units, or pieces that have a majority of neon pumped tubes. Their longevity is also not as good the past several years, but thats with all this overseas and overregulated crap. Anyone have thoughts on what electronic trans. are better these days? If any!
