Hello,

I worked at Kaufman Outdoor, mpls,MN in the early 1980's they had boxes of single wire electrodes,,,,,my guess would be the 1930's up until right before WWII after the war I do believe is when the dumet was introduced.

A Grainbelt beer sign from the early 1940's has the single wire electrode.

Also some-one talked about the inverted glass type,,,,I have a working unit from april of 1939
We know the date due to the same owner of the business that owns the sign. How's that for longivity ! Seven day s a week , for 8 -10 hours a day since April 1939 !! Clear Uncoated Novial 12mm Ar/HG lights up a transcluscent green
