Daco Bombarder question

Does anybody know who Daco was buying their bombarders from? The second hand 10KVA unit I bought is starting to fail, you can smell something "burnt" after using for a bit and it seems to be lacking in secondary output.

The local electrical inspector had given me an exemption from being CSA approved and will allow me to replace it with an identical unit but if I want to have this one rewound (or replace it with another model), it and the entire bombarding system will require a special inspection to pass code. I'd rather spend the money on a replacement "daco" model from the manufacturer versus giving our public safety officials their inspection fees.

I suppose my next visit will be from the gas inspector who complained about lack of safety pilot light assemblies on the fires, and that I had to replace the "barb nipple" handtorch hose assembly with a threaded fitting onto the torch stem and a Type-1 certified neopreme/rubber propane hose. Nothing like adding 10lbs to the handtorch.

Thanks for any help with my bombarder question.
