It would be hard to imagine that LED's won't be the predominate backlighting source before long.

If you follow the development of LED technology even a little it is obvious that performance has been increased considerably the last few years.

I am no expert in this application, but the problem of brightness and uniformity will be solved.

There will always be inferior and cheaper products that give the method a bad name however.
