Hey Chris,

I agree with Don on the bar stock. Just use plain-Jane cold roll steel. It will be the least expensive, is fairly easy to work with (bend and drill) and you can spot weld it instead of using rivets to hold it together.

Depending on how many you need, I still have a small quantity of window bumpers left. Beyond that, Transco used to carry them, which is where I got mine. It's been years, so I don't know if they still have any or not, but it may be worth a call to see if they do - perhaps some old stock that's been laying around. If not, try Dempsey Industries in Ohio (see link below). They will be glad to send you some free samples. They used to have a minimum order of $50. Don't know what it is these days, but whatever it is it will buy a LOT of bumpers.
