Lose the attitude Darryl, it was totally uncalled for. The lawyer I met up with at the local farmers market and the question was asked over coffee, same with the lamp maker - he was tending his booth selling stuff from his gardens. No burden whatsoever, just good conversation among friends/colleagues.

And I never claimed to be as big as Noma nor was I suggesting signs I make heat up like a space heater. As a consumer I could take legal action again that company or any other vendor if their product seems to be the cause of a fire or other damage to my property or if the proper use of such product causes personal injury or death.

So if I bought an "open" sign from you, or had tube on said sign replaced by you, and the sign catches my business on fire then your insurer would likely be hearing from mine as they try to recoup the money paid out for damages on my policy. If you don't have proper insurance, who do you think the insurance company is going to go after - you, the business owner. This isn't rocket science.

The attitude displayed by you is exactly why I avoid trying to share information with fellow signmakers, unless they are very good friends. I thought the worst attitude I met in the neon industry was from a pyrex manifold maker years ago but apparently it's spread to others. Thanks for reading!
