Sounds like a custom-made incandescent lamp. I think both Larry Albright and Wayne Strattman (former SOT Neon Column writer) make these.

Doesn't sound like a "glow lamp", which usually has two plates separated by only a few millimeters, which lights up as a dim cathode-glow when a low current is applied.

In either case, this is a very specialized repair to a (possibly) very valuable lamp.
