LED Update

Andrew Lindstrom, Philips North American SSL Develop Manager

Presentation Summary:

As most professionals in the industry are aware, Solid State Lighting has become the next generational revolution in lighting technology. However, as with any new technology, there are many embellished claims of performance. How does a designer know how to separate real claims from the hype? This presentation will provide an overview of LED technology with a focus on how to differentiate between products. Specifically, what type of information that a lighting professional should require of any & all manufacturers proposing an LED solution. Furthermore, this presentation will cover some best case applications as well as review the tools available for specifiers to make an informed decision on this technology.

About the presenter:
Andrew Lindstrom has over 14 years in the lighting industry. He is lighting certified, and has held a wide range of product management and sales positions with General Electric and Cooper Lighting. He has been a member of the IESNA for over a decade both as Vice President of the Des Moines, IA chapter and is currently serving on the Sports lighting & Roadway committees.
