Don,

I haven't used too many France models but I have have seen some regular failing with Ventex models in this area also. I formerly used Allanson PowRpak's and had good luck.

If you're looking for an alternative....
I've been using CPI transformers from West Coast Custom Designs for years and have not had one fail yet ! I have not ordered one, but I noticed they now offer a 12,000v 43ma. model that self adjusts from 2000-12,000v
