Thanks for the words of caution. When using oven heating and not a transformer/bombardier the electrocution problem should not be applicable.

What makes metal manifolds very attractive is the KF flange system that can be assembled/disassembled with the ease of LEGO. And brass is so easy to braze and cut on a lathe....
