Certainly they are refering to the glass in the "lit" phase? Especially if it in an application where the tube is not viewed directly (ex: cove lighting, reverse channel, etc.) 25mm green is available from Tecnolux. I've used it.

I would question their reason for specifying 25mm glass. The advantages of such fit within a VERY narrow paradigm. It is useful in residential applications where (as per NEC) voltages must remain under 1000v. It is also useful above 150ma - (which is rare in cold-cathode apps). (The few 250-400ma tubes I've seen in the field look "rode hard and put away wet" after a few thousand hours.) Expensive porcelain housings a MUST at those currents.

In almost all cases, it's less expensive to run 2 rows of 60ma neon than any MA of 25mm.
