I don't know what the decibel level is (and I doubt the seller will be able to tell you), but from an observation standpoint the noise level is comparable to other regen blowers of similar size: Some are a little noisier than others, some a little less. To me it is sort of a low noise level high pitched whistle. Some find it annoying, others don't. From my experience with that particular blower, the biggest problem you will have is getting one that works. Meaning, be prepared to either return it for an exchange (possibly as many as 2 or 3 times), or pay a motor shop to work on it.

Understood. In that respect the "cool factor" can certainly add to the enjoyment of experimentation.
