Which blower?

After trying a few air sources I had on hand with some success, I decided I'd like to get a more appropriate source for my fires. This needs to run a BMT7 crossfire and a hand torch, eventually I'll build a ribbon fire but that will be self contained. This is for hobby use so not nearly as many hours will go on it as at a production shop.

There's two options I'm considering so far. One is a small regenerative blower for $160, at 2psi it's not as powerful as the ones a lot of shops use but the price is right and it comes recommended by at least one guy.

The other is a spa blower, I can pick one up for about 80 bucks which on paper looks a bit better but they scream like a vacuum cleaner and since they have series wound universal motors, the lifespan is more limited.

Thoughts? I'm leaning towards the regen, partly for the "cool factor" as it's something I've never played with before. On the other hand, if I get the spa blower and it isn't suitable, at least I've got a spare for the one in my hot tub which I've resurrected and rebuilt from a sorry state more than once.
