Does everyone here live in fantasy? I don't really give a damn, if you know who I am or not GB, or anyone else here for that matter. It has nothing to do with any statements made.
I have never once said anything about SVP's product quality. I don't doubt his products could be one of the best, but, they are certainly only one of the best available, among others.
I am absolutely elated for you that your system is so wonderful that you purchased from him. But, so what? When I see the nonsense in here, like the treatment given Juan, or totally stupid, thoughtless responses from the likes of Neontek, when questioned about his trying to exclude Juan from the market, or you kissing Mark's ass about his products, I see a mirror image of the exact same local neon benders, who have made us decide to bring this temporary necessity in house. No wonder most sign companies and sign shops are running from you guys, and that this trade is dying.
I have enjoyed this little excursion into the world of self import. It might be time you all woke up and realized you are only a small portion of the overall sign industry (and the most bothersome and profit killing one at that)and fastly becoming an expendable one to boot. And, a lot of that is due to just this kind of ridiculous self importance and inflated egos about your product.
If there were a reliable, affordable and conscientious bender in our area, we wouldn't bother to bring this in-house. It is a costly, time consuming and unreliable, product necessity, for the small amount of the industry it addresses. But, at least for the next few years, has to be dealt with. Hopefully, future technology will eliviate the immediate need of trying to keep the junk already out there, lighting.
Enjoy the ride folks, you have been my best argument for what the future holds. Like all products that reach obsolescence, the days are numbered. Oh god, now everyone is going to accuse us of being an LED reps too! Geeze...get a grip.
