For purposes of discussion, and at the risk of sounding like I am throwing stones at the competition, which is not my intention, I don't know why anyone would want to duplicate or use something like that. They are not very user friendly IMO. They have a metal needle filled with mercury, which is not the safest thing to have around a busy neon shop, drip mercury out of the end unless you retract the plunger every time, which means you get to start over again pushing the button to dispense the next dose, and guess when the mercury is going to start coming out because you cannot see where the mercury is inside the needle. If a metal-needle injector is what someone really wants the SVP Neon Tube Mercury Injector may be fitted with a metal needle, though I do not recommend it for the reasons mentioned.
